26th November - Manchester Public Speaking Competition

Event Details

Dear Member/Friend,

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN.

After three excellent training sessions our Public Speaking Calendar is drawing to a close, and it is now time to put that training into practice.

Manchester Junior Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Annual Public Speaking Competition on Wednesday 26 November.  We aim to start at 6 for 6:30 in Manchester Town Hall

Even if you haven’t taken part in any of our training sessions to date, this shouldn’t stop you from taking part.  Last year was a close battle with many excellent speakers and many humorous speeches.

If you don’t wish to take part but would like to witness the event, please come along FREE OF CHARGE, as a spectator.

Each speaker has a 7 minute speech and chooses an argument either ‘FOR’ or ‘AGAINST’ one of the following topics:

1.      Freedom of speech – it’s worth fighting for.

2.      Advertising – feed our greed not our need

3.      Winning the lottery is bad luck

4.      Honesty is the best policy

5.      Credit crunch – fact or fiction?

6.      Why I don’t want to be a millionaire

7.      Around the world in 80 days

8.      Big brother is watching you.

Please find more information on the attached flyer.  You can reserve your place by either return of email or on the below mobile number.

Kindest regards,
